By the end of the year, 16 green stations will be launched

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation on measures to provide industrial enterprises with "green" energy on June 23, as reported by uz.kursiv.media.

In a short period, foreign investments worth 6 billion dollars have been attracted to the sector, and the volume of electricity production has reached 82 billion kilowatt-hours.

By the end of the year, 12 solar and 4 wind power stations, as well as 12 energy storage systems will be launched. The total investment volume will exceed 5 billion dollars. Additionally, the construction of 11 new projects worth 7.2 billion dollars will begin.

Solar panels and storage systems will be installed in large pumping systems, reducing the energy consumption of water pumps from 6.5 billion to 4.5 billion kilowatt-hours. The work will start from the Karshi main canal.

In the oil and gas sector, 240 megawatt solar and 300 megawatt storage systems will be built. This will produce at least 600 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually.

During the meeting, issues related to transferring 18 major networks to an independent energy system and utilizing solar energy in social institutions were discussed.
