The duration of the electronic visa in Russia has been doubled
According to a new law signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, significant changes have been introduced regarding electronic visas and the entry-exit procedures for the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The document was published on the official legal information portal. These new rules will create additional opportunities for foreign visitors to Russia.

According to the new regulations, the validity period of the electronic visa has been extended from 60 days to 120 days. The allowed time for staying in Russia has also increased from 16 days to 30 days.

These changes will create conveniences for foreigners coming for tourism, business, humanitarian, and hospitality purposes. Additionally, some procedures have changed for Russian citizens under the new law.

In particular, now the birth certificate will not be accepted as a valid document for identifying a minor child abroad. This document will also not be used when leaving Russia.

The new rules will be fully implemented after the law comes into effect. Previously, minors who left Russia with this document could use it again upon their return.

This retains certain conveniences for citizens. Furthermore, changes regarding additional permits for crossing the Russian border have also been introduced.

Now, it will be possible to cross Russian territory outside official control points with special permission. This provides significant conveniences in certain cases.

Border guards have been granted the authority to stop and inspect small boats, ice vehicles, and their cargo, as well as personal belongings of citizens. These additional controls are aimed at enhancing security.

Overall, changes in electronic visas and border regulations in Russia will create new opportunities for foreigners and ensure order and security for Russians. These innovations will come into effect in the coming days, simplifying the entry-exit process for the country.
