Barcelona sells key players in the summer

Barcelona's sports management needs to resolve several important issues during the current summer transfer window. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Club president Joan Laporta emphasized that the likelihood of acquiring new players before the end of summer is low. The main focus is on players who may leave the team.

Currently, the sale of two players is being discussed. One of them is goalkeeper Inyaki Penya (26 years old), who has taken a secondary role in the team with the arrival of Joan Garcia.

The second is defender Andreas Christensen (29 years old), whose potential departure has been openly stated by sports director Deco. They are currently on an Asian tour with the team, awaiting a decision about their future.

Goalkeeper Inyaki Penya will not leave the club, as Joan Garcia and Wojciech Szczesny need to be registered in La Liga. Currently, only Inyaki and injured Ter Stegen are officially listed.

Ter Stegen needs to undergo surgery due to injury. Therefore, only Inyaki Penya is available in the starting lineup, and his contract still has one year remaining.

Andreas Christensen will have the opportunity to change teams in the summer. Last season, he did not play due to an Achilles injury, and his contract is valid until 2026.

If Barcelona receives a suitable offer, they will consider selling the player. He is also the team's fifth central defender, and his departure could significantly reduce the salary budget.

Oriol Romeu (33 years old) is almost certain to leave the club. The midfielder's contract is also set for another year.
