An Indian man who wanted to cut his own hernia while looking at the internet has found himself in a serious situation
A 32-year-old Rajababu Kumar, living in Mathura city in Uttar Pradesh, attempted to perform surgery on himself instead of consulting doctors after being exhausted from constant pain in his abdomen.

He had been troubled by hernia pain for quite some time. According to the Times of India, he made such a dangerous decision based on information he gathered from the internet and YouTube to cut it out.

On Wednesday evening of last week, he locked himself in a room at his home and performed local anesthesia to avoid feeling pain. He then cut approximately 7 centimeters long and 18 centimeters deep into the lower right part of his abdomen. However, as the knife went deeper than expected, the pain intensified and severe bleeding began.

Rajababu attempted to stitch the wound with 10-12 stitches, but the bleeding did not stop due to the stitches being placed incorrectly. He then informed his family members about his serious condition. His shocked and horrified relatives immediately rushed him to the Mathura district hospital.

According to Dr. Shashi Ranjan from Mathura hospital, the patient had cut his abdomen to a size of 7x1 centimeters. However, the wound did not close properly due to the incorrect placement of stitches. After necessary surgical intervention, he was transferred to a major medical facility in Agra in critical condition.

According to Ashwini Kumar, head of the Jayt district police department, a hospital representative informed the police about the incident. "He was in very serious condition, but he was conscious," he said.

Rajababu's relative, Rakhul Kumar, stated that he had always mentioned having undergone surgery for hernia before and complained about the pain in that area.

"He bought surgical instruments himself. Then he cut his abdomen and operated on himself. He might have injected himself to relieve the pain. But when the pain became unbearable, he went outside and called us," said a family member.

Currently, Rajababu's condition is very serious. Local authorities have started investigating this incident.
