According to RIA Novosti, a list of cities with the highest rental prices for one-bedroom apartments worldwide has been published. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this ranking, the capital of the United Kingdom, London, took first place. In September, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in London was $2800.
In central areas, the rent rises up to $3100. In Singapore, rental prices are close to those in London, reflecting the city's status as Asia's financial center and the high cost of housing rentals.
In the US capital Washington, the average rent is around $2300, while in popular European cities, Amsterdam's figure is $2250, and Dublin's is $2200. In Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, a one-bedroom apartment costs an average of $2160 per month.
Additionally, rental prices in Luxembourg and Hong Kong are approximately $2000, in Bern $1800, and in Copenhagen around $1750. However, a completely different situation is observed at the lower end of the ranking.
The cheapest rental price was recorded in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, where a one-bedroom apartment rents for only $93 per month. In Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, the average price is $158, in Lusaka, Zambia, and Cairo, Egypt, $175, in Algiers $184, and in New Delhi, India, $185.
These differences highlight the sharp disparities in the global rental market. While in one city or capital an apartment rents for thousands of dollars per month, in another place it can be found for a few hundred dollars.
Experts believe that this difference is related to the level of economic development, population income, and the balance of supply and demand. Therefore, rental prices vary significantly between different countries and cities.
