The Saudi Arabian government has announced an important update regarding Umrah pilgrimage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, all types of visa holders entering the country will have the right to perform Umrah rituals in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. This was reported by the Saudi news agency based on information from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
According to the new decision, citizens entering with tourist, service, work, family, personal, and transit (stopover) visas will also have the opportunity to perform Umrah rituals. Thus, they will be able to carry out the pilgrimage from the moment they enter Saudi Arabia.
These reforms are a continuation of the system of conveniences created by the Saudi government for pilgrims in recent years. The country has launched a modern digital platform called "Nusuk Umrah".
Through this platform, pilgrims will be able to book hotels, transportation, and other pilgrimage services online. As government representatives emphasized, this initiative is aimed not only at facilitating religious pilgrimages but also at increasing the number of tourists visiting the country.
This is one of the directions for developing tourism and religious sectors outlined in Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" program. Additionally, according to the new regulation, every pilgrim wishing to perform Umrah must register in advance through the "Nusuk" platform or an official tour operator.
This procedure is aimed at ensuring an organized and safe pilgrimage for visitors.
