Fine paid for iPhone 17 Pro in China
An unusual incident occurred at a retail store in China. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

A customer accidentally dropped an iPhone 17 Pro smartphone and was forced to pay a fine due to a small damage on its body. Local media reported on this incident.

It turned out that after the man examined the device, when he tried to put it back on the stand, the phone slipped from his hand and fell onto the table from a height of about five centimeters. As a result, a small dent appeared on the smartphone’s body.

The store management demanded compensation of 200 yuan, approximately 28 dollars, from the buyer. This incident quickly spread on the internet and sparked widespread discussions.

According to blogger Romansev, this event took place not in an Apple Store but at a regular retail outlet. Although Apple is often accused of greed, such cases can negatively affect its reputation.

In September of this year, Apple introduced the new iPhone 17, iPhone Air, as well as the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models were produced with a unibody metal case made of aluminum instead of the previously used titanium.

However, aluminum material is less durable and more prone to scratches and minor deformations. For this reason, early buyers complain about small marks and dents appearing on the body when using the smartphone without protection.

Previously, a well-known technology blogger tested the durability of the iPhone Air model and noted that it is very thin and slim. The thickness of this gadget’s body is only 5.6 millimeters, making it one of the lightest and thinnest smartphones in the world.

Thus, the body material and durability of the new iPhone models remain important factors for buyers.
