On November 6, the Libyan Government of National Accord announced the release of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's son, Gannibal Gaddafi. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He was arrested in 2015 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. This was reported by the Lebanon24 news portal.
According to official information, the Lebanese government released Gannibal Gaddafi from prison and lifted the travel ban imposed on him. Additionally, the court's previously set bail amount of 11 million dollars was also canceled.
The Libyan government expressed gratitude to Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri for their assistance and cooperation in resolving this matter. It is known that Gannibal Gaddafi was kidnapped in 2015 by the "Amal" militants in Syrian territory and later handed over to Lebanese law enforcement agencies.
In 2017, he was accused of concealing information about Musa Sadr, a Shia imam who disappeared mysteriously in Libya in 1978. Gannibal Gaddafi's release is interpreted as part of an agreement between Lebanon and Libya.
