The list of the richest countries in the world has been updated. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to analyses by “Visual Capitalist,” seven of the world’s top ten richest countries are located in Europe. This ranking is based on the updated data from the International Monetary Fund for 2025, which takes into account the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in each country.
Liechtenstein took first place. In this country, the GDP per capita amounts to 231,713 dollars.
The high value of this indicator is due to the fact that a large part of the population lives abroad and commutes to Liechtenstein for work. This situation statistically increases the average income in the country.
Luxembourg is in second place, where a similar economic situation is observed. Ireland took third place.
In this country, the GDP per capita is 129,132 dollars. Ireland’s favorable tax policy and the presence of headquarters of large international companies, including Google and Meta, have had a significant impact on economic growth.
Switzerland, Iceland, and Singapore occupy the next positions. In these countries, high economic income is related to the standard of living and economic efficiency.
In particular, it is noted that in the case of Singapore, the average income has increased 19 times over the last 40 years. Today, Singapore is considered one of the world’s major financial and trade centers.
