Swiss diver Valdemar Bruderer has succeeded in entering the Guinness World Records. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He set a record for the deepest dive by holding his breath under the ice. On February 27, Bruderer dived into Lake Silsersee located in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, reaching a depth of 56 meters.
During this process, he moved not only without a boat but also without a wetsuit. In winter, the water temperature in Lake Silsersee usually ranges from -11 degrees to +1 degree Celsius.
Under these conditions, diving requires great endurance and skill from the human body. Bruderer regarded this achievement not only as a personal goal but also as a call to protect nature.
According to him, by setting the record, he aimed to draw attention to global issues such as climate change and the melting of glaciers. "Living in Switzerland, I have witnessed how glaciers are melting as a result of climate change.
This is seriously affecting our natural landscape," said Bruderer. He also emphasized that moving in harmony with nature and experiencing its beauty in its purest form is an inspiring factor.
By using minimal equipment, he said he felt closer to the forces of nature and truly appreciated the grandeur of the underwater world.
