School attack in Nigeria: 25 students kidnapped
Armed criminals attacked a boarding school located in Kebbi State, Nigeria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of this incident, one teacher was killed and 25 female students were kidnapped. According to BBC information, the event occurred on November 17 at around four in the morning in the village of Maga.
According to reports, the criminals entered the school area on motorcycles. They first shot and killed a teacher, then a guard.
After that, they stormed the dormitory where the girls were staying and forcibly took 25 students away. According to Nafiyu Abubakar Kotarkosi, a representative of the state police, the attackers were armed with modern weapons.
They engaged in a clash with the guards. Special units are currently conducting search operations, but no significant evidence related to the attack has been found yet.
It is known that armed groups regularly engage in kidnapping and hostage-taking in the northern and northwestern regions of Nigeria. Such gangs attack villages and towns, committing crimes such as looting, hostage-taking, and demanding ransom.
