The Kremlin stated that it is important to take 'nuances into account' when discussing the agreement
The meaningful discussion on the issue of the agreement to suspend Russia's war against Ukraine for 30 days cannot be carried out without considering 'all details and nuances'. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, as reported by TASS agency on May 9.

Peskov reminded that the Kremlin supported the initiative to cease fire for the first time when it was proposed by US President Donald Trump. However, in his opinion, "there are many details surrounding the ceasefire, and it is difficult to conduct a meaningful discussion without finding clear answers to them".

At the same time, Peskov emphasized that at the end of April, it was impossible to talk about a temporary ceasefire without considering these "nuances".

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in his address on May 7 that Kyiv's proposal for a ceasefire with Russia for at least 30 days is still in effect. "We do not intend to withdraw this proposal, which could open the way for diplomacy," said the Ukrainian leader.

In that address, Zelensky pointed out that Russia is only carrying out "new strikes" on Ukrainian territory, which "clearly shows every individual who the real source of the war is".

Currently, the international community is closely monitoring the further developments regarding this issue.
