The Orion spacecraft has successfully returned to Earth from the Oy mission

The Orion spacecraft, which orbited the Moon as part of NASA's Artemis II mission, has successfully returned to Earth. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This historic landing took place on the night of Saturday, April 11, in the waters of the Pacific Ocean near the city of San Diego, California, USA. The process, broadcast via NASA's official YouTube channel, was watched live by more than three million viewers worldwide.
The event was also widely covered through the agency's other social media networks and official platforms. During this mission, humanity set a new record for reaching the farthest distance from Earth in space.
The astronauts managed to travel up to 407 thousand kilometers away from Earth. This figure allowed them to break the previous record set during the famous Apollo 13 mission in 1970.
On board the Orion spacecraft were NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Cook, and Jeremy Hansen, a representative of the Canadian Space Agency. The spacecraft launched into space from the East Coast of the USA on April 1.
The crew completed their observations around the Moon on the night of April 6 and entered the return trajectory to Earth. During the mission, the astronauts also practically tested new generation spacesuits.
These modern suits are particularly significant as they allow crew members to breathe independently for up to six days in emergency situations. The Artemis II program is regarded as one of the most important and decisive steps on humanity's path back to the lunar surface.
This success creates a solid foundation for future long-term space exploration and manned flights. Experts are calling the successful completion of this mission a new page in the history of cosmonautics.
