Kazakhstan spent $4 million to evacuate its citizens

The government of Kazakhstan has allocated nearly four million US dollars from the state budget to evacuate its citizens from safe zones amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Zamin.uz reported.
The information was confirmed by the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Sauranbayev, in an official statement. According to the minister, the evacuation operations were organized under complex conditions and within a short timeframe, with the primary focus on ensuring the lives and safety of citizens.
Initial estimates indicated that approximately four thousand people required evacuation. However, as the process unfolded, it became clear that the number of Kazakhstani citizens in need of assistance and wishing to return home was significantly higher than anticipated.
As a result, the number of citizens to be evacuated exceeded ten thousand, necessitating a revision of transport logistics and the organization of additional flights.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the special operation to evacuate citizens from the Middle East region has been fully completed. As part of these humanitarian efforts, a total of ten thousand two hundred and seventy-five citizens were safely transported back to their homeland.
Government officials emphasized that such measures reflect the state’s responsibility toward its citizens and its readiness to provide assistance in any extraordinary situation. Currently, efforts continue to provide necessary social and legal support to the returning citizens.
