U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation, reported by Zamin.uz.
International media outlets are reporting details of the call. During the conversation, the leaders of the two countries discussed bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of significance.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed the extension of the ceasefire with Syria as a positive step, expressing confidence that existing problems can only be resolved through diplomatic dialogue and mutual agreements.
Furthermore, the Turkish leader emphasized that maintaining stability in Syria is ultimately crucial for regional security, and stressed the importance of avoiding further escalation of the situation in Lebanon. At the conclusion of the call, Erdogan expressed sympathy to Trump over the casualties resulting from the attack on a mosque in San Diego.
