The leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov's eldest daughter, Aishat Kadyrova, announced on her Instagram page that she has left her position as Deputy Chair of the Government of the Chechen Republic.
She emphasized that this position is “more suitable for strong men.”
— After long consideration, I decided to resign from the position of Deputy Chair of the Government of Chechnya. It was an important experience for me. The social sector plays a significant role in the development of our republic, — said Aishat Kadyrova.
She also added that she plans to “implement business projects and work for the prosperity of Chechnya.”
— I am confident that I can bring more benefits in this area than in politics, — she said.
Kadyrova also highlighted her intention to return to her work in the fashion industry.
Aishat Kadyrova was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister of Chechnya in October 2023. Previously, she served as the Minister of Culture of Chechnya. Her father, Ramzan Kadyrov, has not yet commented on her resignation.
In June 2022, Aishat Kadyrova was awarded the Order of the First President of Chechnya. In September 2023, she was also awarded the second-class “For Services to the Fatherland” order for her “contribution to the development of national culture and art” and her “many years of effective creative activity.”
