
The State Statistics Committee provided information about the number of electric cars in Uzbekistan. Upl.uz reported this.
According to the statistics, as of April 1, 2025, a total of 65,200 electric cars have been registered in the country. The highest number of electric cars has been recorded in Tashkent city, with a total of 49,736.
In second place is Tashkent region, where there are 4,512 electric cars. The third place is occupied by Samarkand region, which has 1,739 registered electric cars.
The least number of electric cars is in Surkhandarya region, with a total of 198 cars. In recent years, interest in electric cars in Uzbekistan has been increasing.
This is mainly related to their economic efficiency and ecological cleanliness. Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular among the population's means of transportation, and this trend is expected to continue in the future.
The government is also paying special attention to the development of this sector. Thus, the growth in the number of electric cars indicates the beginning of a new era in the country's transport system.
