
The issue of installing a statue of the great Russian poet Sergey Yesenin in the city of Tashkent is being actively discussed. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Sergey Bezrukov informed TASS agency about this. He is known as a famous actor who played the role of Yesenin.
According to him, despite difficulties in choosing the location, negotiations are at an advanced stage and sponsors have been found for the project. It is hoped that the statue will be solemnly installed soon.
The actor has shown deep interest in preserving the memory of Sergey Yesenin in the territory of the former Soviet Union. It was noted that an excellent museum dedicated to Sergey Yesenin already exists in Tashkent.
He also expressed satisfaction that such museums and statues are operating and developing. Sergey Bezrukov began his acting career in 1994 and has been the artistic director of the Moscow Governor's Theater since 2014.
He has acted in more than 70 films and series and has held the title of People's Artist of Russia since 2008. Since 2022, Bezrukov has been sharing his experience as a teacher at VGIK.
