Afra Sarachoglu returns to the screens with a new series: the actress will play the lead role in the "Pera" project

The Turkish actress Afra Sarachog‘lu, who became known to the world through the famous series "The Secrets of the Fortress," is set to return to the screens with a new project soon. This was reported by the renowned Turkish journalist Birsen Altuntash.

According to her, after the finale of the series "The Secrets of the Fortress," Sarachog‘lu, who took a short break, will collaborate again with producer Onur Guvenatam's OGM Pictures company. The actress is expected to create the character of the lead hero in the series titled "Pera," which is being specially developed for the Disney Plus platform.

The directing of the new series will be handled by Bahodir Karatash. The project's script is written by Bashar Basharan, and its storyline is said to resemble the theme of the famous film "The Truman Show." Afra Sarachog‘lu will play the lead character – Pera in this series. According to reports, the actress has already approved the project and is in the contract signing stage.

Additionally, the actress will also shoot in an advertisement film being prepared for the Global Tourism Promotion Platform Go Turkiye alongside the famous Turkish star Engin Akyurek in May.

The actress emphasized that she had received offers from several new series before, but had not made a final decision yet. This time, however, her choice is clear, and the filming is planned to start in June. The premiere of the "Pera" series will take place on the Disney Plus platform in the second half of 2025
