"Uzbekistan plans to attract 43 billion US dollars in investment in 2025" is the title of an article discussing the results of investment activities in 2024 and the urgent tasks set by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for 2025.
"Since 2017, 188 billion US dollars have been invested in the country's economy. Of this, 87 billion US dollars were attracted from abroad. As a result, the share of investments in gross domestic product has exceeded 30 percent, laying the foundation for stable economic growth," the article emphasizes.
An Indian journalist noted that the volume of investments in Uzbekistan's economy in 2024 increased by 1.3 times, exceeding 36 billion US dollars. As a result, 560 large and medium-sized projects were launched throughout the year. In 2025, the opportunity to increase exports by another 1 billion US dollars has been created.
"Uzbekistan plans to utilize an investment volume of 43 billion US dollars in 2025. Through this, the implementation of over 300 large projects and the production of 662 new import-substituting products are expected," Business Central Asia reports.
The publication also wrote that Uzbekistan aims to double its annual export volume by 2030, reaching 45 billion US dollars as a significant strategic goal.
