The Moscow "Torpedo" club continues to fight for a return to the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
With the Russian Football Union (RFS) reinstating the capital team to the PARI League, the club's main goal remains to return to the top league. According to the team's general director Sergey Sinyayev, the club's management has unhesitatingly tasked the players and coaches with returning to the Premier League.
He emphasized that there is no other goal for the team members, as the pre-season preparation period was very emotional and stressful. Based on last season's results, "Torpedo" secured second place in the PARI League, earning the right to directly advance to the RPL.
However, due to attempts to bribe referees, the club was expelled from the Premier League. A criminal case has been opened against one of the club's partners, Leonid Sobolev, and director Valeriy Skorodumov, who are currently being held in custody.
Thus, the "Torpedo" team will utilize all opportunities to return to the top league in the new season.
