Information has spread in the media that starting from the next season, restrictions on the number of legionnaires in the Russian Premier League may be tightened. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Regarding this issue, the general director of the "Ahmat" football club, Ahmed Aydamirov, expressed his opinion. The head of the club located in Grozny emphasized that he is against tightening the restrictions.
According to him, artificial restrictions harm the development of football. Russian players need to compete with high-level players.
If players are automatically registered, it will reduce competition and ultimately bring no benefit. Currently, clubs in the Russian Premier League can register 13 legionnaires for the season, while at the same time, eight legionnaires are allowed on the field.
Additionally, the "Ahmat" club started the new season with a defeat. The team led by Aleksandr Storojuk lost 0:2 to "Rubin" at home.
This result was a difficult test for the club. Players and coaches are working to strengthen the team further.
