Drozdov: Zenit is the main contender for the RPL championship

Yuri Drozdov, a former player of Tashkent's "Lokomotiv" team, has identified the main favorites for the new season of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his opinion, the primary contender for the gold medal is the "Zenit" team. The "Spartak" team is also showing good performance.

Their squad is balanced, and Stankovich is still in the team. Drozdov emphasized that he wants to see "Spartak" fighting for the championship.

According to Drozdov, the "Krasnodar" team will face difficulties in defending their championship title in the upcoming season. For example, in the match against "Pari NN," "Krasnodar" could not deliver the expected result.

The 2024-2025 season was historic for "Krasnodar," as they secured the championship title for the first time. Meanwhile, "Zenit" finished the season in second place after winning six consecutive gold medals.
