The English club Liverpool has made another valuable transfer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The team has added 23-year-old forward Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. The transfer fee for the player amounted to 95 million euros, including bonuses.
Previously, the "Reds" had purchased Florian Wirtz for 125 million euros, as well as spending 47 and 40 million euros respectively for Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong. Thus, Liverpool has spent over 300 million euros in total during the current summer transfer window.
Among English clubs, only Chelsea has made such large expenditures. They have spent significant amounts on transfers twice during the winter and summer seasons of 2023.
In particular, Chelsea's spending of approximately 500 million euros in summer transfers is a record in the Premier League. Liverpool's purchases are aimed at strengthening the team, striving for high results in the new season.
