Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palinha is expressing interest in returning to England. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Munich club is ready to part ways with the 30-year-old player during the current transfer window. The Portuguese player is not in a hurry to leave, but if Bayern decides to sell him, he would be happy to return to the Premier League, journalist Frank Linkesh reports.
The club showing interest in the midfielder is Tottenham. Last summer, Bayern bought Joao Palinha from Fulham for 51 million euros.
It is estimated that if the player is sold, the German club will set the price at approximately half of what they paid. Joao Palinha has played a total of 25 matches for the team managed by Vincent Kompany, but has not recorded any notable results.
His contribution to the team has mainly been in controlling the game and strengthening the defense. His future will become clear once the negotiations between the club and the player are finalized.
For now, negotiations between Bayern's management and the player are ongoing.
