Valeriy Filatov, a member of the management board and former president of the capital's "Lokomotiv" club, commented on the striker Sergey Pinyayev not moving to CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It was previously reported that the "army men" were ready to pay a transfer fee slightly above the 9 million euros stipulated in the player's contract, but Pinyayev rejected this. According to Filatov, it makes no sense for a player to move from one local club to another.
He stated that if a move is necessary, it is better to go abroad or to a team that offers very good financial conditions. Alternatively, he should play under a coach who can help him improve his skills.
Therefore, he sees no reason to leave and believes Pinyayev made the right decision. "They do not seek better from good," he says.
Pinyayev has been playing for "Lokomotiv" since 2023, having transferred from "Krylya Sovetov." Last season, the 20-year-old player appeared in 38 matches at the club level, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists.
