Dmitriy Gafin, the chairman of the board of directors of the "Dinamo" football club, expressed his thoughts on the possibility of increasing the salaries of Russian football referees. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, discussions are ongoing on this topic, and this decision is considered correct. However, the increase in salaries should not only be tied to improving conditions but also depend on the quality of referees' performance ratings.
Gafin emphasized this in an interview with the "Sport-Express" publication. Issues regarding refereeing in Russian football are still being discussed, even though the VAR system has been operational for several years.
For example, the "Spartak" club has appealed to the Ethics and Sports Commission of the Russian Football Union to review the refereeing decisions of the first two matches of the new season. The matches of the third round of the Russian championship will take place from August 2 to August 4.
These matches are highly anticipated by football fans. The improvement of refereeing quality and the adoption of fair decisions are crucial for ensuring the transparency and fairness of the games.
