Barcelona football club's return to its home ground has been delayed. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club recently announced that the match against the Como team within the Joan Gamper trophy will be held at Johan Cruyff Stadium. The reason for this is that the necessary permit from the city authorities of Barcelona has not yet been granted.
As a result, the Catalans are not deciding where to hold their main matches. According to Catalunya Radio, Barcelona club is considering where to hold its first home match of the new season.
On September 13 or 14, the team led by Hans-Dieter Flick is supposed to host Valencia club within La Liga. This match may also take place at Johan Cruyff Stadium.
This stadium is designed for only 6000 spectators. At the same time, Barcelona club hopes to obtain the necessary permit for the match against Valencia.
If the permit is granted, the match may be held at Camp Nou stadium, but the stadium capacity will be limited. For reference, Barcelona cannot hold the match against Valencia at Montjuïc Stadium, as a concert is scheduled there.
Last season, Barcelona hosted its opponents at this very stadium.
