In recent years, former famous football player Oleg Kornauxov shared his thoughts on the competition that has arisen in the attacking line of Moscow's "Lokomotiv" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He noted that after Nikolay Komlichenko joined the team, the struggle for a place in the starting lineup among the forwards intensified. According to Kornauxov, the transfer of Komlichenko was primarily aimed at strengthening the main squad rather than being specifically for another player – Dmitriy Vorobyov.
Nevertheless, Vorobyov is also striving to maintain his position in the team. Their chances are almost equal, so securing a spot in the starting lineup will depend on performance.
For reference, Nikolay Komlichenko transferred from "Rostov" to "Lokomotiv" this summer. He has played in two matches of the Russian championship for the Moscow club but has yet to score or provide an assist.
Dmitriy Vorobyov, who plays in the same position, scored one goal and provided one assist over two rounds. Experts believe that strong competition in the team's attacking line will enhance performance and make the battle for the starting lineup even more interesting.
