Boris Rotenberg serves as the Deputy Director for Youth Development at Moscow's Lokomotiv football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He provided information about a new approach to training young football players at the club. According to him, a single methodology has been implemented at Lokomotiv.
Based on this methodology, players are trained from a young age. Each year, when players transition to a different coach, they are prepared for new requirements and tasks.
The club has established a system where each coach does not reinforce their own style but adheres to a common methodology. For example, one coach may focus on technique, while another does not pay special attention to physical preparation.
All coaches work based on the same approach, and attention is given to the comprehensive development of the players. Rotenberg emphasized that Lokomotiv coaches must be able to adapt to different playing styles.
Boris Rotenberg previously played as a defender for Lokomotiv and other clubs, and he also played one match for the Finland national team. Since 2022, he has transitioned to a leadership position.
He noted that special attention is being paid to training young generation players based on modern requirements.
