Spartak football club is working on signing a new player to strengthen its defense line. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In recent days, this Moscow club has shown interest in Alexander Djiku, who plays for Turkey's Fenerbahce team. According to the information received, the 30-year-old Djiku is being pursued not only by Spartak but also by three clubs from France.
However, it has not been disclosed which specific teams are interested in having the player in their squad. The important thing is that Djiku himself considers continuing his career in France as a priority.
For this reason, it may not be easy for Spartak to add this player to their ranks. Fenerbahce is ready to sell Djiku and is looking to earn 6 million euros from this transfer.
It is worth noting that Alexander Djiku has previously played for France's Bastia, Caen, and Strasbourg clubs. Therefore, it is considered natural for the player to prefer returning to France.
Spartak is continuing negotiations.
