Andrey Talalaev, the head coach of the "Baltika" football club, shared his thoughts ahead of the match against the Orenburg team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the team returned to Kaliningrad after almost a month on the road, held a meeting with fans, and organized an open training session. When asked about the team's mood after receiving the award for the best coach of the previous season, he emphasized that the team plays more attentively while on the road.
The reason is that there are fewer distractions on the road, and the players' focus is entirely on the game. However, currently, there is excessive attention on the team, there are many people around, and this negatively affects the preparation.
Talalaev mentioned that he had to dismiss some new players because they discussed various issues in the hotel before the game. Such situations can affect the outcome.
He also noted that the team performed well in their last three matches, namely two league games and one cup match. Especially in the game against "Akron," the players showed dominance, but today is a new game, and everything starts from the beginning.
The coach also shared his thoughts about the "Orenburg" team. According to him, "Orenburg" is an experienced team that has been working with the same coach for several years.
They showed good results at the end of the last season and do not want to give up in the current games either. Talalaev emphasized that "Orenburg" has almost no weaknesses, and they stand out more for their versatility.
There was also mention of some players in the team being injured. The coach did not want to speak openly about their recovery period but stated that these injuries were sustained during the game and that there are no muscle injuries.
Positive changes are expected from the new players in the team. When asked about Utkinn being included in the starting lineup for the first time, the coach indicated that he is currently at a level of readiness to be included in the squad.
He also noted that the quality of the team's play is more important to him than the outcome of the game.
