Zenit and Spartak's expensive transfers have not yet justified themselves

Andrey Sozin, a former member of the ethics committee of the Russian Football Union, evaluated the performance of Jedson Fernandes and Jerson Santos, who are playing in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the information, Jedson recently joined the “Spartak” team from the “Beşiktaş” club for 20.8 million euros. Jerson, on the other hand, transferred to “Zenit” from “Flamengo” for 25 million euros.

Sozin believes that Jedson was welcomed warmly when he arrived in Moscow, but so far there are no serious results visible in his game. Additionally, Jerson has not been able to show himself as expected in the “Zenit” squad.

The expert emphasized that the expensive transfers made by “Zenit” and “Spartak” have not yet justified themselves. According to Sozin, currently, only Luis Enrike, a player of the “Zenit” club, is the only expensive footballer who has fully justified his transfer value.

Today, the “Zenit” team was unable to win against the CSKA club, while “Spartak” lost points in their match against the “Akron” team. Both matches ended with a score of 1:1.

Therefore, the new players have not yet been able to fully please their fans.
