Mostovoy said that "Orenburg" is the main contender for the lower league

Former “Spartak” player Aleksandr Mostovoy expressed his opinion about the struggle for survival in the current season of the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the teams “Orenburg”, “Pari NN”, and “Sochi” will be the main competitors this season to avoid relegation to the lower league. Mostovoy emphasized that the competition among these teams will continue throughout the season.

He also referred to the team led by Vladimir Slishkovich as the main candidate for relegation to the lower league. It is worth noting that according to the results of the last season, “Orenburg” had directly dropped out of the Russian Premier League.

However, later “Torpedo” was expelled from the higher division, allowing “Orenburg” to retain its place in the league. The “Torpedo” team was expelled for attempting to organize fixed matches.

Currently, after three rounds, “Orenburg” is in 12th place in the Russian championship with two points.
