The head coach of the Italian football club "Roma," Gian Piero Gasperini, stated that Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik may remain in the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, there were reports in the media that "Roma" was ready to sell Dovbik for 40 million euros, as he did not fit the new coach's tactical scheme. However, in a recent interview, Gasperini referred to Dovbik as a strong player and emphasized that the amount paid for him was justified.
According to the coach, there are still aspects that Dovbik needs to improve, but the player is working on it. The 28-year-old Dovbik's current contract with "Roma" is set to last until June 30, 2029.
His market value is currently estimated at 30 million euros. In the 2024–2025 season, the Ukrainian player appeared in 45 matches, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists.
Thus, Dovbik continues to hold an important place in the club, and the coach has expressed confidence in his staying with the team.
