Expert Andrey Sozin commented on Stanislav Cherchesov's acceptance of the head coaching offer from the Grozny football team "Akmat". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It is known that the club had previously dismissed head coach Alexander Storozhuk. According to Sozin, as soon as Cherchesov starts working at "Akmat", the team will actively participate in the championship fight.
He noted that "Akmat" can now easily be added to the list of teams fighting for medals. It will not be easy for the competitors, Sozin emphasized.
Earlier, reports had circulated that the 61-year-old Russian specialist would sign a three-year labor contract with the Grozny team. According to media reports, Cherchesov's annual salary at "Akmat" will be 1.3 million euros.
Additionally, "Akmat" started the new Russian championship season unsuccessfully, suffering three consecutive defeats. The new head coach is expected to improve the team's results.
The club management and fans are expecting high results from Cherchesov.
