Akron team's midfielder Stefan Lonchar shared his thoughts after the match against Spartak last week. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The match held in Samara on Sunday ended in a 1:1 draw. During the game, when the score was still 0-0, Lonchar had the opportunity to take a penalty, but he shot the ball over the goal and the score remained unchanged.
Lonchar emphasized that his team performed well in the first half and fully followed the coach's instructions. According to him, problems arose in attack during the second half.
He expressed that he thought the game would be easier since the opponent was one player short, but this showed that the team did not adequately evaluate their opponent. Lonchar also admitted that he made a mistake in taking the penalty and noted that the Akron team deserved to win in this match.
Currently, the Akron team has collected five points in three matches within the Premier League. The Tolyatti team will play their next match on August 8, Friday, away against Dynamo Makhachkala.
The competition will start at 20:00 Moscow time.
