Ovchinnikov gave a high rating to the "Lokomotiv" youth team

The famous Russian coach Valery Ovchinnikov has previously worked with the "Lokomotiv" team in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He currently highly appreciates the work that the capital's "Lokomotiv" club is doing with young players. According to Ovchinnikov, the current "Lokomotiv" team shows that local players are not inferior to foreigners.

In his opinion, it is now appropriate to direct the funds previously spent on purchasing foreign players towards developing children's and youth football. Today, there are only three foreign players in the "Lokomotiv" squad.

They are Lukas Fason from Brazil, Jerzino N'yamsi from France, and Cezar Montes from Mexico. All other players are local.

The team is currently led by coach Mikhail Galaktionov. Under his leadership, "Lokomotiv" has won the first three matches of the new season in the Russian Premier League and is currently in first place in the tournament table.

These results demonstrate the high potential of young players and that the team is on the right track.
