Raul Riancho, the former coach of Moscow's Spartak team, shared his thoughts on the main problems in Russian football. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He stated that currently, the biggest problem in Russian football is the low effectiveness of the work being done at the lower levels. Riancho emphasized that many football organizations in Russia are busy copying the work experiences of other countries and are not working sufficiently on creating a unique model.
According to the expert, the Russian Football Union needs to develop its own path for football development and shape its system considering local conditions and opportunities. At the same time, the new season of the Russian Premier League has begun.
Teams have completed three rounds of matches. Currently, Lokomotiv from Moscow is leading the competition table with nine points.
In second place is Krylia Sovetov from Samara. The top three is rounded out by Baltika from Kaliningrad.
Thus, each team is setting high goals for themselves in the new season, and competition in the championship is becoming increasingly intense. Experts believe that fundamental reforms are necessary for the development of Russian football.
