Sports commentator Georgiy Cherdantsev expressed his opinion about the transfer of Portuguese footballer Jedson from Turkey's "Besiktas" to Moscow's "Spartak". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, the Turkish club announced that they paid 20.7 million euros for this transfer, and that bonuses of 7.2 million euros could also be given. According to Cherdantsev, Jedson may be well-known to scouts and specialists in European football, but he personally emphasized that he had never heard of this player before.
In his opinion, the names of famous footballers are often mentioned in the media, but he had not encountered Jedson's name before. The commentator assessed this situation as somewhat strange.
Jedson made his debut for "Spartak" in a match against "Akron". He was active in the first half and was substituted during the break.
This match ended in a 1:1 draw. In the next round, the capital team will face the current league leader "Lokomotiv" away.
Meanwhile, "Spartak" head coach Stankovich's team is currently in 11th place in the Russian championship table after three rounds.
