The London football club Arsenal is planning to release Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko from the squad. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Foreign media outlets are reporting on this. The club's management expected to earn around ten million euros by selling the player.
However, so far no official offers have arrived at the club's office. Therefore, the team, which finished second in the last season of the English Championship, has decided to let the player go as a free agent.
Oleksandr Zinchenko has been with Arsenal since 2022. Prior to that, he also played for another strong English club, Manchester City.
The 28-year-old defender's current contract with Arsenal is set to last until the end of the 2025-2026 season. Nevertheless, the club has decided not to oppose the player leaving the team.
Currently, there is no clear information about Zinchenko's future. The club is expected to start looking for a new player to replace him.
