Ovchinnikov: "It's too early to say that 'Spartak' has already lost the season"

He previously worked with the “Lokomotiv” team of Nizhny Novgorod. Currently, Ovchinnikov expressed his opinions regarding the potential dismissal of Spartak's head coach Dejan Stankovich.

At the moment, “Spartak” is in eleventh place in the Russian championship. According to Ovchinnikov, it is too early to say that “Spartak” will have a failed season.

In his opinion, if the team updates its coaching staff in time and strengthens the squad for a new head coach, there is still time until the end of August. Therefore, there is a possibility to improve the team's situation.

It should be noted that Dejan Stankovich was appointed as the head coach of the “Spartak” team last year. Under his leadership, the team finished fourth in the last season.
