Former “Zenit” player Dmitriy Khoma responded to the question about whether head coach Sergey Semak could be dismissed if the team loses to “Spartak” in the next round. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, there is no need for such hasty conclusions. Khoma believes that the results of the team in the upcoming rounds should be considered.
He especially recommended not to make drastic decisions regarding “Zenit” before the winter break. Currently, “Zenit” is in eighth place in the Russian championship table after the fourth round.
The team lost 0:1 away to “Akhat” yesterday. Prior to that, they drew 2:2 with “Rubin” and recorded a 1:1 result in the match against “CSKA”.
These results have led to “Zenit” occupying a position lower than expected at the start of the season. Experts emphasize that the team's upcoming games should be closely monitored, and final conclusions should be drawn later.
