“Dinamo” football team head coach Valeriy Karpin gave a brief comment to the media after the match against the “Sochi” team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In response to questions after the match, Karpin emphasized that the game was very straightforward. According to him, there were disallowed goals, shots hitting the post, and fierce struggles during the game.
Disallowed goals by the referee and the tense situations that arose during the game occur in every match. Speaking about the shots hitting the post, Karpin mentioned that if the ball had gone slightly to the right or left, it could have been a goal.
As a reason for the team's inability to win, he pointed out that they did not fully capitalize on their opportunities in attack. The team managed to take only one clear shot, with a total of three attempts.
He noted that there were no problems in defense, but they need to convert their chances into goals in attack. When asked about “Dinamo” team's superiority in terms of the number of shots on goal, Karpin stated that there was nothing surprising in this situation.
The “Sochi” team did not show any unexpected results in the second half. Regarding Fomin's substitution, he explained that the player was taken off because he was tired by the end of the match.
Karpin did not express satisfaction with the match result and the players' performance at all.
