Former “Spartak” football player Vitaliy Dyakov expressed his opinion about the likelihood of the dismissal of the “red-white” team's head coach Deyan Stankovich. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the expert, extending the contract with Stankovich was the wrong decision. Dyakov stated that the team's sports director Fransis Kahigao should also be dismissed.
The reason is that he spent 30 million euros to buy players Garcia and Solari, but these transfers did not justify themselves. Dyakov emphasized that in today's game of “Spartak,” there is neither character nor striving for victory, resulting in the team displaying poor-quality football.
According to him, this situation is a complete failure for the club. Dyakov believes that Stankovich's dismissal is only a matter of time.
Currently, “Spartak” is in 11th place in the Russian championship standings with four points after four rounds. The team's results have raised many questions and discontent among fans and experts.
The responsibility to rectify the situation lies with the club's management and coaching staff.
