
RB Leipzig football club is on the verge of signing a contract with forward Romulo, who is playing for Turkey's Gyoztepe team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to information, this German club recently sold one of its main forwards, Benjamin Sheshko, to England's Manchester United. The total value of this transfer amounted to 85 million euros, including bonuses.
Now RB Leipzig wants to add a new forward to its squad. The club sees Romulo as a player to replace Sheshko.
The transfer fee is estimated to be around 20 million euros. Gyoztepe has already accepted the offer for the Brazilian player.
Last season, Romulo played in 33 matches for Gyoztepe, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists. This 23-year-old player had previously attracted interest from Russia's Zenit and Spartak clubs.
Currently, the German club has made an official offer to him, and negotiations regarding the transfer are nearing completion. Thus, RB Leipzig is expected to add Romulo to its squad in the coming days.
