
Spartak's midfielder from DR Congo, Teo Bongonda, has started a new phase in his recovery process following an Achilles tendon injury, the capital club's press service reported. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The injury occurred during a friendly match between the DR Congo national team and the Mali national team (1:0). Although he started the game in the starting lineup, he was forced to leave the field in the 24th minute.
Earlier, Spartak club announced that the recovery process would take approximately three months. Last season in the Russian championship, Bongonda played 27 matches for Spartak, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
Currently, treatment necessary for the player's health improvement is ongoing. The club's specialists expect him to return to the field soon.
