Neman defeated Farer team on penalties

In the third qualifying round, Neman was required to overcome a deficit of more than two goals against the Klaksvik team in the return match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The match was played taking into account the two goals conceded in the first game held in the Faroe Islands. Several attacks were launched.

Anton Suchkov sent the ball from the left wing about 20 meters close to the far post. Arni Frederikzberg made an accurate pass from the left wing to Pascal Kletskard, who headed the ball close to the left post.

In the second half, Patrik Johannesen struck powerfully from the penalty area line, but the goalkeeper jumped and saved the ball. In the 80th minute, Pavel Savitskiy made an accurate pass from the left wing, the opposing defender directed the ball with his chest to Guljigit Alyqulov, who placed the ball into the goal – the score was 1:0.

Four minutes later, Alyqulov made a pass from the right wing to the far post, Yegor Zubovich passed the ball to Yuri Pantya, whose shot, after two deflections, landed in the near corner of the goal – the score was 2:0 and the aggregate score was 2:2, which led to extra time. During extra time, Oleg Yevdokimov made a pass from the right wing to the far post, Yuri Klochkob headed the ball towards the right post, but Alyqulov jumped and headed the ball over the goalpost.

In the 112th minute, Mads Mikkelsen received a red card for kicking Ivan Sadovnichiy in the center of the field. In the penalty shootout, the Belarusian team won 5:4 and will face Rayo Vallecano in the next round.

The match protocol was as follows: Neman's goal scorers were Guljigit Alyqulov in the 80th minute and Yuri Pantya in the 84th minute. The opposing team had scored one goal in the first match.
