Bakaev Artigani amazed with his performance
Zelimkhon Bakaev, midfielder of Moscow's "Lokomotiv" team, spoke about how former head coach and Podmoskovye "Khimki" team leader Frank Artigani was amazed. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Bakaev played under Artiga's leadership in the 2024/2025 season. According to the footballer, the Spanish specialist prepared special videos to show him what to expect on the field.
In turn, Bakaev sent Artiga his best performances from "Spartak". A few days later, Artiga called him and suggested watching the video together again.
The coach asked Bakaev, "Why has no one told me about having such a player?" Artiga was so impressed by Bakaev's level of play that he asked the footballer to show at least half of that level for "Khimki" to remain in the Russian Premier League (RPL).
As a result, the Podmoskovye team took 12th place and managed to stay in the RPL based on sporting criteria, but was excluded from the competition due to funding being stopped.
