Former Russia national team player Maksim Demenko commented on the frequent injuries of Real Sociedad's midfielder Arsen Zakharyan. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Zakharyan's body was not prepared for such heavy loads. Although injuries are an integral part of football, their frequency is concerning.
Nevertheless, Demenko emphasized that Zakharyan can prove himself at Real Sociedad. According to the expert, the club still trusts the player because they retained him for the new season.
However, if the injuries recur, the club management will make important decisions. Last season, the 22-year-old player appeared in only four matches, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
His current contract with Real Sociedad is valid until 2029.
